Q: How should I store them to keep them at their best? 

A: Do not refrigerate while they are still firm, as it may affect the ripening process. Once softened, if not eating immediately, wrap gently in kitchen paper towels, store in the refrigerator, and consume within 3–5 days for the best flavor.
